Tree Description A large blue-black fruit of hybrid origin but of full damson flavour. Growing into a large somewhat spreading tree with broad plum-like foliage. Self fertile and a good cropper. Used to be planted in farm hedges as a crop. A late September damson.
Comments Chosen by CS. Damsons have an exquisite flavour in preserves and pickles, often neglected in the past and deserving of more attention.
