Welcome to the Village of St James South Elmham, Suffolk

St James South Elmham
A traditional village and community in rural Suffolk

St James South Elmham, often St James, sometimes St James SE (or even South Elmham St James) is an ancient and deeply rural village in north-east Suffolk. It is set away from the other Saints parishes with houses ancient and modern tucked in among the trees. The climb up to it is gentle and steady but it is the highest parish above sea level in East Suffolk. Agriculture is at the core of village life and still comes right into its centre. Nowadays, the high-speed broadband service supports farming and family life, and many other activities, services and businesses besides.
